The Fent Shop is an independent, family run business, established for over 30 years. Formerly at the Old Post Office Garage, tucked away just off Keighley Road in Skipton, we are now based at our warehouse in Thorlby, near Skipton.
To people not familiar with the word ‘fent’, it is a local term meaning remnant of fabric which, in years gone by, was measured and sold by weight.
The Fent Shop has always had a reputation for being a sewers paradise. Bursting to the seams with its vast range of designer fents and rolls of fabrics for curtaining, upholstery and dress making and an ever increasing range of craft cottons and fat quarters, haberdashery, trimmings and lots more.
